Without our history, who are we? Without history, there would have been no Revolutionary War for us to have our heroes. Cowpens and King's Mountain are sacred battlefields that the federal government thought worth saving. Thank goodness there are still good people in the world who support our troops, no matter what war. Mr. Stan Brown is obviously a man of vision to be preserving all the historical sites on his golf community. Preserving what we were only serves to preserve who we are. Too much has been lost already. I would like to encourage anyone who has knowledge of a cemetery that might be unknown to advise their local genealogical society. Mr. Paul Kankula has done a wonderful job in preserving sites in Oconee, Pickens and Anderson counties. He can be reached on the Oconee County web site. Great going everybody.
